Lazy Acre Alpacas

About

Agri-tourism is a big part of what we offer here at Lazy Acre Alpacas. It is a program provided by farms to educate people on livestock care, farming lifestyle, and products produced on their farm. We offer tours for school groups, home-school groups, bus tours, and individuals by appointment.

Lazy Acre Alpacas is a family-run farm located in Bloomfield, New York. This rural, country farm can be found just a quick 30 minutes away from Rochester in the scenic Finger Lakes area, known for its vineyards, breweries, antique stores, and good country living.

Lazy Acre Alpacas was started in 2000 by the owners Mark and Sharon Gilbride and their five children. Everyone pitches in to help with tasks from everyday farm work to technology development. Visitors have an opportunity to meet them while doing tours, working at our open house, or just helping out. Set on 100 acres in the rolling hills of the Finger Lakes, our animals enjoy lush pastures and comfortable loafing sheds. The excellent facilities allow for healthy, happy animals.

This was a great experience, we LOVED it! The alpacas are so friendly. You get to feed them before the yoga starts and then enjoy the relaxing yoga in a beautiful setting, whilst learning more about alpacas and the farm throughout. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to hear some alpaca...

We were very pleased with our trip to the farm. My wife is not an animal person and she loved it immensely. Definitely will do again with the rest of the family.
